Special Projects On this page we will go over some interesting things we are working with. OK maybe not interesting to everyone, but at least to us for the level we are at. We will go over different things from proving out a gene, facility changes, attempts to save space, and anything else the pops up that generally doesn’t have a page suited to it.
Of course stuff that fits here doesn’t happen every day or month for that matter, so just stop by and check it out occasionally. |

Our First Dinker Project The male on the right panel was bred to a normal female. We think he is not only an exceptional example of a Banded/Tiger morph, but some have said other things appear to be happening in him. Others on the other hand don’t think anything special of him. Who knows who is right! Initially we thought we would breed him and work on the development of our own banded line and that really has not changed. We have also decided to work with him and see if we can get anything else out of him. This years breeding hatched out 8 babies. All of the babies have some form of banding as you can see in the pictures below, but none of them are any where near as clean as their father. For the next step we plan to raise up all the females from this clutch and breed them back to dad and see what kind of results we get! At the earliest the next set of results will not be revealed to us until results from our 2011 to 2012 breeding!
